See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. - James 5:7 (NIV)The arrival of spring is a welcome event for most people (except for the allergies it brings). For many of us, we endure the winter with the knowledge that spring is around the corner. Without spring, winter would be almost unbearable. This is how we are to see the Lord’s coming. Without knowing that a day is coming when this broken world will be renewed fully, the day to day struggles would overwhelm us. But as spring is faithful, how much more can we trust that the Lord will come again? It is the faithfulness of the seasons that gives us the strength to wait patiently for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!
