Compassion Week - Day 2
Today the Compassion team and I saw some of the poorest of the poor in Ecuador. We visited in the actual homes of mothers and infants enrolled in the Compassion Child Survival Program. The homes were not tenable by American standards; there were holes in the roof, cardboard boxes patching up holes in the walls, no electricity, and no running water or indoor plumbing. These mothers and children live in extreme poverty, but they are so full of love and thankfulness that God meets all their needs. More to come tomorrow...

| Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.
|
| The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
|
| The rich and the poor have a common bond, The LORD is the maker of them all.

Commentary What is the difference between the rich and poor? Nothing but circumstances. Though each of us is unique, we were all created by the same Creator. And while the world judges by the outward appearance, the Lord judges the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)
