Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;
Your judgments are like a great deep
O LORD, You preserve man and beast.
Psalm 36:6
God's judgments are like the great deep. This means that His decrees, decisions, thoughts and plans are wonderfully profound, complex, and wise. When contemplating this attribute of God, Paul exclaimed: "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" (Rom. 11:33).
