|Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.|
|For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.|
Paul's loyalty to Christ and his sufferings for Christ were evidences that he was not seeking man's approval, but his Lord's "well done."
His example to us is not about watering down any unwelcomed messages of truth to men. In everything you do, ask yourself whose approval you are seeking.
