|An anxious heart weighs a man down,|
but a kind word cheers him up.
|Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.|
If you walk into a dark room and turn on a light, the darkness flees. In the same way, a kind word acts as light to an anxious heart. It fills the heart with hope and joy, forcing out anxiety.
Yet if you are the one who is apprehensive today, fill your own heart and mind with God's Word and peace. Let His words cheer you up.
God tells us to cast all our cares on Him (1 Pet. 5:7) and not to be anxious. (Phil. 4:6)
