Psalm 141:4 - Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil

NIV Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil,
to take part in wicked deeds
with men who are evildoers;
let me not eat of their delicacies.
KJV Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
NASB Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,
To practice deeds of wickedness
With men who do iniquity;
And do not let me eat of their delicacies.
Psalm 141:4

Commentary

David asks for a heart that is free from any hankering to collaborate with the corrupt men in their wicked practices. He does not want to partake of their advantages, however attractive or tempting they might seem.
