|A fool shows his annoyance at once,|
but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
|A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.|
Self-control is a characteristic of wisdom. When we react too quickly and with annoyance, it makes us look foolish.
When we take the time to listen, answer with patience, and overlook insults, we act wisely.
Instead of closing the door with insults, we are to leave the door wide open for reconciliation through wisdom.
