Isaiah 55:10-11 - I send my Word out, and it accomplishes all I want it to

NIV 10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
KJV 10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

NASB 10For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10-11

Commentary

God's word is similar to rainfall; it produces fruit (Ps. 147:15-20). Just as water enlivens and strengthens a withering rose, God's word produces life in the hearts of sinners.

The Lord who Reins: is speaking of the reign He has over the Universe and its creations

We will be tested in the Mind and Heart by the world and by God and our actions will also be judged by that which is dwelling in our hearts. Things will happen we will make mistakes and terrible things can get out of control but the things that God pays attention to are how well we handle what comes. Be at peace and know He does understand the hearts of the Children he created and He Sees what we have tried to do and perhaps have failed or that we fell prey to in moments of weakness.
