When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? |
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? |

Commentary
To gaze into the heavens at night should give us great thoughts about God. The moon and the stars are the work of His fingers! When we think of the numberless myriads of stars, of the vast distances in the universe, and of the power that holds the planets in orbit with mathematical precision, it boggles the mind.

I see it slightly different. Yes, when we gaze into the sky and see his vast creation all I can say is WOW! For I serve a God that did all of this created the heavens, universe as well a the earth and the fullness there of. An yet he still thinks of me(what is man that you are mindful of him) Wow, you did all this and yet you are not only mindful of me but care for me. Who am I then? that you are mindful of even me.
