Daily Bible Verse - 7/13/2007 - Proverbs 25:27 : Many Editions > Same Daily Verse

It is not good to eat too much honey,
nor is it honorable to seek one's own honor.

It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.

It is not good to eat much honey,
Nor is it glory to search out one's own glory.

Proverbs 25:27

Eating honey is analogous to enjoying the sweetness of your own self-glory.
