 | Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. |
True love of God is exhibited in a life of obedience to His Word. James 1:22 says, "Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
Jesus never had His own agenda. From the amazing miracles He performed, to the words He spoke, He was about the Father in everything He did. Jesus is the ultimate example of love and obedience.
The all powerful God invites us to know Him intimately through our love and obedience to Him. He promises to dwell within us if we do so. Do we have our own agenda or His agenda today?
