Daily Bible Verse - 10/3/2007 - Isaiah 64:8

NIV Yet, O LORD, you are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
KJV But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
NASB But now, O LORD, You are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
Commentary
Yet the Lord is still their Father, and there is still hope that the potter can do something with the clay. And so they plead with Him to relax His anger, to forgive and forget their sins, and to acknowledge them as His people still.
